last meeting may 28th

Hello everyone this is a notice about our final meeting. It is ocurring may 28 at trinity bible church. It is the swim up jump up meeting. We will have hot dogs and smores. Pleas bring a mug for hot chocolate or juice. Parents or siblings are encouraged to cheer everyone along. See you next week. Chad

May 14th visit

We will be going to the Rideau Valley Wildlife Centre on May 14th from 6:30-7:30.  Parents are welcome to stay with the cubs.

Directions:

- Head out of Osgoode on Roger Stevens towards North Gower

- Turn left on Malakoff (5kms after stoplights in North Gower)

- Turn right on Galagher (1.6 kms)  There may not be a street sign here.  It is the first street past Pierce Road (where you will stop at a stop sign) and after the soccer field.

-Turn Left on Mulhollond

- 3370 Mulhollond - the last farm on the right at the dead end.  Meet at the stable door closest to the house.

WE WILL BE OUTSIDE please dress accordingly.  BOOTS are probably a good idea as well.

Hello everyone we will be outside this week, and in celebration of earth day we will be making our world a better place. If everyone could bring a rake and work gloves we will be tidying up the yard. In addition we have Coyote Rock climbimg booked for April 30th. the address is 1737-B St Laurent Bl, Ottawa, ON K1G 3V4 (613) 739-4074 P.S. if any siblings come they will be unable to climb with the cubs but will be able to enjoy the gym on their own. Start time is 6:00pm and the cost is 16 dollars, pick up is at 8pm. The following week we will be visiting the Kemptville Opp station with the beavers. The address is 236 Leeds and Grenville 44, Kemptville, ON K0G 1J0. Drop off is 6:30 and pick up is at 7:30. No siblings are allowed for this activity due to space issues. Akela Chad

Hello.. MARCH 26th - MEETING CANCELLED March 26th Meeting at the OPP visit has unfortunately been postponed. Our Tour Guide will not be available but has committed to rescheduling as soon as she gets back to town. We will keep you posted! There will be NO meeting this week... Just a reminder about Scouter Heather's email. We will be meeting at Trinity on stagecoach road, plan on being outdoors... but if it is really cold we will go inside. kub kars

Hey Everyone! Kub Kars tomorrow. Please bring your car, there will be opportunities to race and we can give pointers as well. In addition just a reminder of the regional race this saturday. I will bring all of the information tomorow but i can tell you that the cost is 5 dollars per child and it will be at Jim Durrel bellow is some of the information wrt times. Important note!!!!!! Parents must stay with their child on saturday!!!! After 27 kars have raced, 9 will be picked for the finals and race again. These will compete for 3 trophies and 6 prizes 08:00-09:00 Registration 9:00 -10:00 Kub Kar Racing 10 Race Format – Top 27 go to competitive Race 10:00 – 10:30 Design judging by youth 10:30 -11:30: Competitive Races 11:30- 12:00: Trophy Awards 1 ldr, 9 design, 3 racing trophies Notes: Reduce weight only. Weight will be written on racing card. NO WEIGHT CAN BE ADDED AT ANY TIME. ANY DISCREPENCIES IN THE WEIGHT THE KUB KAR WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. Requests for weight adjustment must be accompanied by a registration slip. REMEMBER THE CUB LAW RESPECT OTHERS There is no limit for the number of design Kars. The cost is $5.00 per kar. Kub Kar Specifications For racing kub kars Wt. = 142 gr – L=7” – w=2.75” H= 3.125” Loose/Exposed weights and springs or washers on the wheels are not allowed weights are to be built into the Kar body. Design: A Kar entered in the race category is also eligible for design. There are three categories for design Real Car Look-a-like, wackiest paint and theme car. Each is identified by a different colour sticker. All kub kars will be brought into the track area a set out for judging by the cub scouts themselves, the results will be give at 11:30

Trip to First Air Cargo

Hello everyone, Our meeting next week will be at the First Air Cargo facility at the Ottawa Airport. We will meet there at 6:30pm, and the facility is found at 100 Thad Johnson road across the street from the airport Hilton. Pick up will be at 7:30 versus the usual 8:00.
